Risk Manager



PGS is seeking an experienced, energetic, self-starting, problem solving Risk Manager who is interested in assisting our client modernize an enterprise-wide system.








  • Support activities, including identifying, capturing, mitigating, and monitoring technical risks associated with the modernizing the background investigation system.
  • Develop and implement a proactive risk management strategy across the Program while addressing the unique aspects of each project and initiative within the Program.
  • Conduct an initial identification of risks present within each program and project.
  • Support projects it oversees with continual (at least monthly) risk updates that revises the risk inventory with changes to the identified risks and new risks that reveal themselves through the course of the Program’s operations
  • Work with technical teams and recommend or guide mitigation activities to reduce the threat of identified risks.
  • Analyze technical material, including documents, presentations, and meeting minutes.
  • Recognize potential risks to be addressed and mitigated.
  • Produce reports and presentations for senior management that show risk trends and priority actions needed and articulate major areas of concern.




  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with managing and documenting Project Management related risks
  • Knowledge of risk registers and how to manage the overall risk management process
  • Experience with DoD
